Carrie Sander was born and raised in northern Wisconsin. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and worked as a veterinary technician before attending Arizona State University where she received her bachelor's degree in animal behavior and physiology. Dr. Sander chose to be a veterinarian because she wanted to be an ally for animals and loves studying medicine. She attended veterinary school at Midwestern University in Arizona and received her DVM in 2019. Dr. Sander enjoys caring for not only dogs and cats but many different types of animals. When not working, Dr. Sander loves anything outdoors, especially when it involves seeing wildlife. She and her husband have two pets, a pit bull mix named Lucy and a cat called Lil' kitty.
